RESEARCH EXPERIENCE AND INTERESTS
Current research interests:
· The impact of self-compassion interventions on barriers to well-being, such as self-reported depression, stress, and anxiety.
· Self-compassion and traumatic experiences, specifically sexual assault.
· Efficacious routes of administration of self-compassion inductions that foster greatest compliance for those who wish to self-administer self-compassion (e.g., web-based inductions, podcasts, videos, guided inductions, self-administration).
· Self-compassion interventions to reduce stress.
· Personality factors related to aggression in online dating.
AWARDS AND GRANTS
Applied for and received a $5,000 grant from KSU’s Global Campus to create and teach a distance learning course on Lifespan Development of Personality.
